"Hither I Go Once more" is a song by British rock band Whitesnake. Originally released on their 1982 album, Saints & Sinners, the power carol was re-recorded for their 1987 self-titled anthology. The song was re-recorded over again the same year in a new "radio-mix" version, which was released as a single and hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 nautical chart on x Oct 1987, and number nine on the UK Singles Chart on 28 November 1987. The 1987 version also hit number one on the Canadian Singles Chart on 24 October 1987. In 2006, the 1987 version was ranked number 17 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the '80s. more »

Whitesnake is a British rock band, founded in 1978 by David Coverdale later on his departure from his previous band, Deep Purple. Their early material has been compared by critics to Deep Royal, but by the mid 1980s they had moved to a more commercial difficult rock way. Four of the ring'southward earliest albums reached the superlative x in the UK, with Ready an' Willing (1980), Come an' Get It (1981), Saints & Sinners (1982) and Slide It In (1984).
